About The Company

Visual Arts Centre is an Art Studio and Gallery providing a range of art courses, workshops for all age groups, and a busy ongoing calendar of exhibitions and events. The Team at Visual Arts Centre serves the Art Studio and the Gallery and assists in maintaining the current and ongoing schedule of programmes, courses and activities at the Studio and Gallery, including handling administration, marketing, sales and enquiries, operations and liaising and communicating closely with stakeholders for smooth coordination for the Art Studio and Gallery’s activities.

The Role

Art Studio Marketing, Sales & Operations Assistant Manager

  • Editing and creating marketing content on Art Studio offerings and programmes. Regularly updating and publishing new content for the Art Studio’s courses, programmes and activities on the website and related social media / digital platforms
  • Handling ongoing client enquiries and sales, advise clients on courses/workshops and providing sound advice on course planning
  • Handling daily Art Studio operations and maintaining the studio set up before and after art classes
  • Managing the daily Art Studio processes and making arrangements for programmes, coordinating between stakeholders and ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication with clients and/or stakeholders
  • Working together with the team to realise the areas of business development of the Art Studio
  • Depending on the candidate’s experience and any relevant art background/experience, the candidate may be trained on the job to be equipped with basic art knowledge and art coaching experience to support and assist during workshops/classes
  • Be trained and be able to assist, facilitate and coordinate for creative workshops and programmes as and when required as these creative workshops are part of the Art Studio’s scope of ongoing operations

Requirements

  • BA Degree / Diploma in Arts Management / Fine Art / Marketing and Communications preferred. Those with prior art teaching experience or work experience in children education are preferred. Candidates from other fields of study may also apply. Candidates with fine art experience will be preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with previous internship/work experience may apply. The candidate is preferred to have one to three years of work experience (in arts or non-arts field)
  • Proficient in English & Mandarin (written and spoken)
  • Outgoing, approachable and friendly, customer-oriented
  • Able to multi-task, adaptable and manage stakeholders and clients, able to adapt and respond to work situations and problems
  • Resourceful, proactive and able to drive and manage own work tasks, as well as able to support and coordinate with other co-workers/stakeholders to achieve work goals
  • Possess basic marketing and design skills and experience in using basic tools such as canva / photoshop
  • Strong interest and passion in the Art Studio’s scope of work and in art teaching

Work schedule & Venue

  • 5 days – 5.5 days work week*: Tue-Sun *depending on shift/schedule choice which may be discussed.
