EDITORIAL INTERNS

We are looking for editorial interns who enjoy working in a fast paced, creative and stimulating environment to work on our online publication. Multiple positions available for both copy and designed based creatives.

The Role:

• Participate in various aspects of article creation, including interviewing, research, fact checking, writing, editing or assisting in photo shoots.
• Promoting our stories and engaging with our readers on social media
• Attend editorial reviews and marketing/PR meetings
• Outreach to other organizations for communications, press releases, story ideas
• Assist in the development of content ideas and conduct content specific research
• Conduct and manage general administrative tasks for the publication
• Organize information for editorial calendar and archives.

The Persona:

• An interest in moving towards a career in magazine writing and editing
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to handle multiple assignments
• Good English speaking, writing and overall communication skills
• Resourceful with a positive attitude
• Outgoing persona with an ability to track down information quickly via interviews, database or online research
• General experience in the basics of writing, editing, fact-checking and multimedia skills
• Ability to prioritize assignments and juggle multiple responsibilities
• Interest and a willingness to learn the process of editorial and overall magazine production
