About the Role

STUDIO DAM is looking to hire a passionate Design Research Intern

  • Minimum 3-6 months internship
  • This position is based at our office
  • A portfolio is compulsory for consideration
  • Happy to work with a small team and a good team player

  • You should either have a background in Design & Marketing Communications / PR / Marketing / Business related subject
  • You have outstanding research and analytical skills
  • You are strong in data literacy
  • You have an excellent command of English
  • Superior communication and creative writing skills
  • You are strong in studying key industry trends and competitors’ user experience strategies to support the development of brand strategy and creative brief
  • You are able to explore creative possibilities and displays an understanding of cultural differences
  • You display empathy in formulating design research studies and understanding on translating research findings to human-centred designs. You are able to evaluate user feedback and take note of insights to improve user experiences
  • You enjoy identifying new ways of connecting consumers to brands with forward-thinking digital solutions
  • You have a strong sense of aesthetics, function, and sense of design
  • You enjoy visual and brand storytelling
  • You believe in good design
  • You have basic business acumen
  • You are target driven
  • You are meticulous and resourceful when it comes to organizing and delivering analysis and reports
  • You have project management skills

You will be assisting the creative team with

  • Conceptual, strategic and creative research
  • Create presentation decks
  • Ascertain research context and requirements based on research objectives
  • Collect research data on consumers, competitors and market conditions using both quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Conduct ethnographic research based on design research study objectives
  • Deduce conclusions from analysis performed
  • Liaise with team members for design research output development
  • Prepare essential documents that will protect the interests of research participants
  • Uncover design trends and patterns based on information gathered

  • Think that experimentation is a great way to approach design
