Established in 2011, RAW Moves is a contemporary dance company, which focuses its establishment, connection and direction of work with the spirit of inquiry. It seeks to achieve its mission of Redefining Movement by raising the standard for interdisciplinary and experimental works in Singapore; making dance accessible and engaging; devising new means of artistic articulation and innovation; providing mentorship and platforms for artists as well as influencing and inspiring local and international audiences with “diversability” in dance and movement.

Outreach & Partnerships (45%)

  • Organise and facilitate workshops, events, and ad-hoc educational sessions to generate exposure, accessibility and promote strong dance alliances, locally or cross-border, physically or digitally. For example, liaising for NAC-AEP Programme bookings with schools
  • Develop and increase the awareness of our work and drive participation in Outreach programmes (i.e. RAWGround / A Little RAW) and related events / workshops for RAW Moves and/or its creative personnel, researchers, and involving the wider community (if required) including administrative duties such as planning programme dates/term dates, booking venues and preparing contracts, monitoring class attendance
  • By working with the rest of the team, envision, plan, formulate and execute an outreach plan that covers events, marketing and publicity for our in-house and external programmes, including any market research required
  • When required, coordinating with production manager on all related marketing/outreach matters
  • Participation and contribution in meetings related to Core or commissioned programmes may be required for planning

Communications (45%)

  • Responsible for press release and liaising with media
  • Responsible for in-house (e.g. email signature) and external communications, designing and creating content for our various communication channels, such as newsletters, websites, social media, and event publicity platforms (i.e. online ticketing platforms)
  • Initiate and reimagine new communication initiatives and events to engage local or overseas community (i.e. educational kit / research guides)
  • Assist and update VIP invitations and RSVPs to shows/programmes
  • Assist to collate complimentary tickets arising from (corporate/non-corporate) donations/sponsorships
  • Assist in other initiatives/campaigns that may arise from time to time

Reporting (10%)

  • Assist General Manager and Artistic Director, to report relevant Outreach matters quarterly to grant organisations and the Board. Thus, will require support for:
  • Timely progress reports
  • Summary of Outreach events and statistics (i.e. attendance / ticket sales)
  • Completed audience surveys
  • Photos and Media archival

Job Attributes

  • Bachelor degree in Arts Management or similar relevant field in the arts preferred
  • Receptive to interdisciplinary works and/or unconventional artistic expressions
  • Working knowledge of email, digital media, social media and the differing needs of the social platforms
  • Working knowledge of web-related performance tracking eg, Google Analytics and CRM eg. Hubspot.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Premier Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Canva, digital content creation, basic knowledge of video editing tools) skills preferred
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to articulate ideas well both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to generate excitement and momentum in communicating stories/messages
  • Digital marketing and/or experience in email campaigns, SEO and SEM, a bonus
  • Good team player and work independently, mature, self-motivated, meticulous for details and multi-tasks
  • Should be comfortable moving seamlessly between planning, content, and execution.
