Responsibilities
- Create and maintain relationships with collectors, consultants, curators, and other art world contacts
- Develop and retain in-depth knowledge of the gallery artists’ practices and biographies
- Articulate and communicate artists’ ideas and intentions effectively to clients
- Inform clients of upcoming exhibitions and fair presentations, providing supporting materials as needed
- Promotion and sale of artworks through exhibitions, personal contacts and social media
- Meet and exceed quarterly sales goals
- Secure payment from clients in a timely fashion
- Communicate consistently and proactively with the team to review offers, sales, and sales opportunities
- Attend gallery openings, art fairs, and other events on behalf of the gallery; assist in art fair installation or de-installation as needed
- Responding to clients’ enquiries on multiple sales channels via emails and direct messages
- Assemble and organise PDFs
- Research, monitor, and secure secondary market sales opportunities
- Managing and updating of social media platforms
- Assist Gallery Manager in ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Graphic design skills and knowledge preferred
- Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong command of spoken English and Mandarin
- Strong administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Knowledge and experience in the art industry preferred
