Responsibilities

• Create and maintain relationships with collectors, consultants, curators, and other art world contacts
• Develop and retain in-depth knowledge of the gallery artists’ practices and biographies
• Articulate and communicate artists’ ideas and intentions effectively to clients
• Inform clients of upcoming exhibitions and fair presentations, providing supporting materials as needed
• Promotion and sale of artworks through exhibitions, personal contacts and social media
• Meet and exceed quarterly sales goals
• Secure payment from clients in a timely fashion
• Communicate consistently and proactively with the team to review offers, sales, and sales opportunities
• Attend gallery openings, art fairs, and other events on behalf of the gallery; assist in art fair installation or de-installation as needed
• Responding to clients’ enquiries on multiple sales channels via emails and direct messages
• Assemble and organise PDFs
• Research, monitor, and secure secondary market sales opportunities
• Managing and updating of social media platforms
• Assist Gallery Manager in ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Graphic design skills and knowledge preferred
• Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail
• Strong command of spoken English and Mandarin
• Strong administrative skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge and experience in the art industry preferred
